TAMPA — A woman was shot Saturday morning after a man told her to leave her parking spot near Ybor City, Tampa Police said.
Yashica Johnson, 30, of Tampa, was parked on the street in front of passenger Masema Bount's home at 3113 N 16th St. at about 4 a.m. when they saw a silver Hyundai circle the block and park behind them, police said.
A man got out of the vehicle with a long rifle and told Johnson to leave, police said. As they drove off, they heard several shots being fired.
Johnson drove to the police department's District 3 office and told an officer what happened. She then realized that she had been shot in the lower back, police said.
Her injuries do not appear to be life threatening and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
