ST. PETERSBURG — A man was killed Saturday morning after his car hit a guardrail and a concrete wall on southbound Interstate 275, authorities said.
Nathan L. Mosby, 20, of Downers Grove, Ill., lost control of his 2003 Acura about 3:45 a.m. as he approached the 22nd Avenue N exit, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said Mosby was traveling at "a high rate of speed." He was not wearing a seat belt.
Officials said the Acura first struck a guardrail on the outside shoulder, then went back across the road and hit an concrete wall. Mosby was ejected.
