PORT RICHEY — A man was arrested Wednesday after authorities said he was harassing people at Lake Lisa Park.
Michael J. Faulkner, 27, of 9304 Regency Park Blvd. was charged with disorderly conduct and threatening a public servant. According to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report, deputies arrived after hearing reports of a man who was offering kids $100 to go home with him. Several children told deputies that a man had been drinking and trying to fight with them. A woman said the man, now sitting under a pavilion, had just shoved another man. A deputy asked the man for identification, he dropped to his knees and began chanting and praying, the report said. The report said the man smelled strongly of alcohol.
During a pat-down search, deputies found three small bottles of alcohol in his pocket. As a deputy arrested him, the man began yelling racial slurs at an African-American woman who was playing with a child at the swings and threatening to "get" her when he was released, the report said. He also threatened to kill the deputy and his family. Faulkner remained in the county jail in lieu of $5,250 bail.
