TAMPA — Police have charged a 65-year-old man with 24 counts of lewd and lascivious battery for allegedly maintaining a sexual relationship with a teenage boy for two years, officials said.
The boy, whose identity was not released, was 13 when Mustafa Sunj befriended him, police said. Over the past two years, that relationship progressed to sexual activity.
Sunj, who lives in the 2800 block of Besito Court, was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with 24 counts of lewd and lascivious battery. No bail had been set Tuesday afternoon.
The sex acts between him and the teen largely took place inside his home, police said. Authorities also said Sunj would draw the boy to a tent he had set up in a wooded area near his residence.
Detectives are still investigating to determine if there have been any other victims.
No further information was immediately available.
