THONOTOSASSA — Deputies are looking for five people who robbed two men at gunpoint Thursday afternoon after they were lured there by two women.

The incident happened about 4:30 p.m. at Messer Drive and Bessie Dix Road, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

At about 3 p.m., the two unidentified men drove to the Days Inn Hotel at 2901 E Busch Blvd. and picked up two women known as "Meka" and "T."

The women got into the back seats of the vehicle and told the men to drive to Messer and Bessie Dix. When they arrived, a black, early 1990s Toyota Tacoma pickup pulled alongside them. Three men got out. One was carrying a silver revolver, according to the Sheriff's Office.

They ordered the other men to the ground, taking their cell phones, wallets and cash. A round was fired, but no one was injured.

The two women and three men then got into the vehicles and left.

The victim's vehicle was found at AJ's Food N' Beverage at 9806 Harney Road, where "T" was spotted on a surveillance photo making a purchase.

"Meka" was described as being black, in her early 20s, about 5-feet-3 to 5-feet-5, about 200 pounds with black shoulder-length hair. She was last wearing a pink and black tank top, black spandex, black hair net and possibly had a club arm band on her left wrist.

"T" was described as being black, in her early 20s, about 5-feet-8, 160 pounds with a black ponytail. She was last seen wearing a blue and white tank top with blue jeans.

A detailed description of the men was not available.
