NEW PORT RICHEY — She said someone stole her Rottweiler, medications and an Amscot money order. Not so, deputies say.

Bonnie Joyce Miller, 51, of 6024 Corson Ave., told Pasco County sheriff's deputies when they got to her house that she had lied.

A witness said Miller's dog had run away when she let it outside to go to the bathroom. There was no money order. The medication wasn't mentioned later in the report.

Miller was taken to the Land O'Lakes jail on a charge of a making a false report to a law enforcement officer. She remained at the jail Tuesday afternoon in lieu of $150 bail.
