TAMPA — A fight broke out Saturday night after the Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam truck competition, leaving a man in critical condition with a serious head injury, Tampa police said.
Police identified the victim as David Stanaland, 34.
Described by authorities as an "isolated incident," the fight occurred around 10:30 p.m. between two groups walking near Leroy Street and Himes Avenue, south of Raymond James Stadium, after the monster truck show there.
